Background

Leonard Hoffman was born November 10, 1969. He would always claim that fate had chosen his passion for him. Leonard grew up on Sesame Street and was an avid fan throughout his childhood and well into his adult years. Unfortunately for Leonard he possessed a short, thick frame, denying him the natural tools of a Sesame Street puppeteer. Lack of any skills suitable for being an artist in showbusiness also kept him away from being a part of his one true love. However, a tenacious streak and a gift for political maneuvering and Leonard found himself gainfully employed at the Williams & Hawkins Lobbying Firm, whose major client was PBS, home to Leonard's beloved muppets. Over a period of years Leonard rose through the ranks of the firm and was soon the first choice when it came to convincing reluctant senators and congressman of the value of Public Television in general, and Sesame Street in particular. One day, while arguing with a particularly hard headed conservative from Utah, Leonard suffered from a stroke. Lying on the floor, staring up at the man who was bound and determined to destroy Leonard's source of joy, Leonard erupted. Filled with the sudden flow of quantum Leonard became that which he always admired. His hero had always been that muppet who best exemplified dedication, courage, and determination to Leonard. Leonard Harry Hoffman was no more. He was now, and would forever be, The Great Monster C.

 

Appearance

His name is not the result of a passing resemblance but of an eerily close duplication of the muppet known as Cookie Monster. The only adjustment would be the eyes enclosed by an ocipital ridge and a mouth possessing teeth and tongue.
